ABOUT FILM

Q: What are C-41 films?

A: C-41 film is a film that requires C-41 chemistry to process the film. C-41 chemistry is color chemistry.

Here are a list of some of the most common Black & White C-41 films :

  • Kodak T400 CN
  • Kodak Portra
  • Kodak +400 Select
  • Ilford XP2
  • If you're not sure check the canister to see if it says C-41 anywhere on the canister

C-41 black & white films are basically color film with no color and therefore need to be processed in color chemicals.

C-41 films can be processed at your local color lab, Walgreens, Cosco, Walmart or any place that processes color film. Once your C-41 film has been processed you can send us your negatives and we can make contacts, Photo CD's or prints.
