FILM SCANS - MEDIUM RESOLUTION |

We use dedicated film scanners to create the best digital file from color, black & white negatives or slides. It's important to know what you will be using your digital file for, so we can create the optimal file for your needs. These scans are most commonly used for digital printing, printing on canvas, retouching and archiving.
Medium Resolution Scans: sized approximately 8x12 at 300 ppi
35mm = 2400 px X 3600 px
2 1/4 and 4x5 sized 3600 px on the longest length

FILM SCANS - HIGH RESOLUTION |

These scans are high resolution JPEG or uncompressed TIFF files from negatives, slides or prints. We scan at different resolutions depending on your needs so we recommend discussing your final out put needs before we begin scanning. The files are excellent for digital retouching or digitally archiving your images. A CD is included in the price of your scan. If you would like a CD please request one at the time you place your order.

PRINT SCANS - MEDIUM RESOLUTION |

We use the latest flat bed scanners to create the best digital file from your original print, photograph, document or flat art work. We can work with originals up to 11x14. Medium resolution is recommended for digital printing and printing on canvas when the print will be smaller than 11x14. Medium resolution scans can also be used for retouching and archiving.
All scans include:
- 5 minutes of basic clean up and dust spotting
- basic overall tone and color correction
If additional work is needed beyond what is included please refer to our page on Imaging Services & Retouching.
Medium Resolution Scans: scanned 100% at 300ppi
Scans are saved as 8 bit Tiff files or Jpeg as needed.

ROLL FILM SCANS FOR PHOTO CD |

Photo CD scans are a high quality medium resolution JPEG file. The files are scanned at 300 ppi and sized to approximately 4x6 for 35mm up to 5x7 for 120 and 4x5 sheet film.
The image files are suitable for viewing on a computer as proofs, printing as 4x6's or 5x7's, for web use or to be e-mailed.
These are considered medium resolution files and are not intended for large prints. If you need high resolution scans for large prints or retouching see the prices for high resolution scans above.
We offer this service at the time of processing or from film already developed.
